The phone rang and the caller said glad you invited us to The Jack Shainman opening.
We will meet you there-
What are you going to wear did you bye new shoes for the event?
This offers me continued surprise as what I wear or my shoes has Nothing to do with me producing/ realizing/ raising/ supporting good art!
So let me make myself clear- I always wear clean business, causal or formal, as event requires attire. I do not bye shoes for every event- I am good with the black dress boots same style that I have worn for the last 20 years. Most of you who have known me for that long or longer can stop asking!
Thanks- Look forward to seeing you all there!

Duchamp’s Fountain: The practical joke that launched an artistic revolution

Duchamp's Fountain

Duchamp has been compared to Leonardo da Vinci, as a profound philosopher-artist. But there is also a comparison to be made with Buster Keaton, another handsome deadpan clown whom Duchamp somewhat resembled. He valued humour, telling a New York newspaper that, “People took modern art very seriously when it first reached America because they believed we took ourselves very seriously. A great deal of modern art is meant to be amusing.”

Vagina

To think its not only me in this time space reality that thinks-
we should enjoy our art experience.
Having fun and not taking every thing to seriouse.
I can agree there are time to be serious and some art pieces are all about seriouse.
In the end it is about the ART and not the shoes or the degree.
Just…. Balance- Form- Movment- Experience……….

Daughters of DADA

The American woman is the most intelligent woman in the world today?the only one that always knows what she wants, and therefore always gets it. Hasn?t she proved it by making her husband in his role of slave-banker look almost ridiculous in the eyes of the whole world? Not only has she intelligence but a wonderful beauty of line is hers possessed by no other woman of any race at the present time.
And this wonderful intelligence, which makes the society of her equally brilliant sisters of sufficient interest to her without necessarily insisting on the male element protruding in her life, is helping the tendency of the world today to completely equalize the sexes, and the constant battle between them in which we have wasted our best energies in the past will cease.?

A new year brought the right way-

I am probably the only one to say,
“I love a good wonder around the Junkyard”.

My significant other thought it would be a good way to bring in the New Year.
200+++ pictures and 8 hours later we enjoyed ideas, played out seniors, stimulated visuals for project builds, engaged in conversation of imagination – all in the rust color of old, on the crisp snow white back drop in the quiet serenity of the cold to bring in the New Year.

Yup- I’m a Cheep date! Ha- Ha!
